Georgia and the Disney Princesses

What can I say? I'm a sucker for advertising. And guilt works really well on me. When I was in the hospital with Sophie, away from Georgia for so many days, we watched a lot of TV and saw commercials for Disney Princesses on Ice. So yes, I bought two tickets. There was a pre-show dress display.

Here is Georgia trying to get Tiana's attention. It was too precious for words.

She held up her princess purse as if to say, "Look! I have you on my purse!"

She chose to dress like Jasmine...which is interesting when you hear what happened later.

So I got really good tickets. I mean really good tickets. Of course this was a complete misread of my situation. I was taking a 3-year-old to a basketball arena to watch a Disney show, from the fourth row: STUPID MISCALCULATION. Here we are before the noise and the smoke machine started.

Then Tinkerbell came out and the music launched, then the set flew up in the air and G totally lost it.

Even an introduction by Mickey and Minnie didn't calm her down.

The first vignette was about Jasmine and we didn't even get to stay long enough actually see Jasmine herself.

Very soon she told me to get her out of there. She pointed to the exit and said, "I NEED GO UPSTAIRS!" Once we were outside and calmed down, she decided maybe she did want one of the shaved ice things inside a character cup. Shockingly she chose the Flounder cup ($10) instead of the Tinkerbell ($16) or Cinderella ($18). She went against type and I love her for that.

When we went back inside we smartly chose a set up high, right by the exit. Georgia enjoyed the Sebastian spoon that came with her cup.
