Much-Needed Close-Ups

Um, she's gorgeous.

And so smart, too.

And ambitious, as you can see from her trying to drink from my fingertip.

When Georgia Met Sophie

They had their first encounter on Sophie's Day Two.

G came in and was so very quiet - it was eerie.

She was whispering, "Be very very quiet for the baby." I think she'd been prepped at school.

She gave her many hugs and was very gentle.
"Is THIS my sister?"

Sophie took the whole encounter in stride.

Georgia liked having her in the crib.

She and daddy had a fun reunion, too.

First Visitors

Grandma came on Day 1 - we were so excited to show little Sophie off.

They were fast friends.

Fr. John also visited that day and gave Soph a blessing.

He told us her name means wisdom. We thought it just meant "most popular name of 2010."

Daddy and Sophie have a nice nap (nice is a relative term, those daddy cots in the hospital are not exactly made for comfort).

Day One

Here we are at 5:30am on Wednesday, Dec. 22. Excited and wanting the show on the road!

Then, all of the sudden, here's Sophia!

Weighing in at 7lbs, 3oz (that's 2oz more than her big sister), and 19 inches long, she was in fine form from the start.

Yeah, yeah, I know this is pretty much the same picture as last time.

First bath!

Ok, the new blogger format is giving me fits, so I'm going to just post these pictures and then go back to bed. More later!
