Ice cream mustache
In the car on the way home from dinner with grandma and grandpa, Georgia sang us a song:
"oh I love you Sophie baby. Yeah yeah yeah. Your are so sweet and pleasant. Yeah yeah yeah. Oh I love you Sophie baby, I do."
Then we had ice cream with chocolate sauce.

Cool Kid Goes to School
This was taken before she said, "Since there's no sun around, I'm taking off my glasses." She also told me that her new best friends at school are Carroll and Cole. Cedric's still in the running. Apparently your name needs to start with "C."

Before school: hard at work
Mommy: Georgia, when did you learn to be so careful and stay inside the lines like that?
Georgia: I'm just an artist.

Before School Fun
Georgia seems happy that Sophie can now climb into her tower. Seems happy, so far.

Georgia's Dream Birthday Dinner
As quoted by daddy, after reading "Olivia Cooks Up a Surprise," Georgia's dream birthday dinner is:
"steak, bread with butter, brussel sprouts, strawberries, apple juice, chocolate cake, and vanilla ice cream."

Brunch with Henry
Yesterday, I told G that they would be coming and that she would get to show Henry her new room for the first time. This was her response, "I do not think he will like it. Henry likes things that are cool. My room is pretty, not cool. He's not going to like it."
This is Henry, giving G a hug goodbye and lifting her off the ground. This is what happened next.
Then he tried again. Same result.
Later, on the way up for naps I got a few shots of their awesome, new, HALF PRICED, matching pink bunny dresses.
Yeah, she's still taking a bottle. Wanna fight about it?! Wanna come here and break her of it yourself?! Didn't think so.
This is what she did when I asked her to "smile with some teeth."

A New Best Friend
Georgia: "I have a new best friend at school now. His name is Cedric. We played a game in the field and now I think I like him so he will be my best friend."

Playing School
[Helpful back story -- this summer we visited the beach
in Maine with LilyJ, where her superfun daddy showed Georgia and LilyJ how
to find a map buried in the sand by "pirates," and use the map to
find treasure (candy in a sealed bag) that the "pirates" had also buried
nearby]
Daddy and Georgia, playing "School."
Daddy: All
right, boys and girls, we're going to play a game. I want each of you to think of a favorite
thing you remember from this summer. Think of what letter it starts with. The first person to tell me their letter is the winner. Yes, Georgia - what is your letter?
Georgia:
"F."
Daddy: And
what is it you remember from this summer?
Georgia: It
was in Maine.
Daddy: Oh, our
trip to Maine with LilyJ and her mommy and daddy?
Georgia: Yes,
at the beach.
Daddy: And
what do you remember from the beach in Maine that starts with the letter
"F"?
Georgia: Fairy
treasure!

Nate's TRAIN THEMED Birthday Party!
Ok, so all I had was my phone to use for pictures this day, so my shots are not that great. But I wanted to be sure to put them up because this party may have been the COOLEST party we've been to in forever (can you see that mommy is getting a little sick of the princess stuff?!). It was at an historic train station! They even had hats!

Sophie was processing. There was a train table, and a model train that had a WEDDING at a little model CHURCH.
And a few times while we were there, the station manager invited us outside to the platform and we got to wave at actual trains coming by, and the conductors would blow the horn! It was awesome.
And Nate's mom made excellent cupcakes.
Sophie says, "YUMMMM."
Monday in the Park with Georgia...and Sophie...and KK
After an unusually slow morning, we were off to the other park that is near our new house. "We've never been there before, but we see it all the time when we're in the car," says Georgia. The seesaw was particularly sturdy, allowing both kids to ride unspotted.

Sophie loves the new independence. The ladybug thing was also a favorite.
As usual, we spent most of our time on the swings, trying to "kiss the moon" and "hug the sun." Yeah, it's really that cute.
One more of G and Soph, before Soph took a fall (on the concrete nearby) and bit her upper lip, causing quite a shock. She looks like she's had a collagen injection, but is none the worse for wear.

It Starts Now - Addendum
Tonight, out for dinner at another very cool place AND with her Aunt KK:
Georgia: Remember that music show today?
Daddy: Yes?
Georgia: I hated it.

It Starts Now
Today, at a very cool, city-wide, free blues concert at the national park near our house:
Georgia: When is this over?
Daddy: They just started, why?
Georgia: This is boring for me.
Mommy: [Sigh]
