We took this at exactly 23 months! A few things about our soon-to-be 2-year-old:
-She only eats cereal with mehllckkk
-She thinks Georgia hung the moon.
-She loves dancing, cannot sit still when there's a beat.
-She makes the sweetest, most adorable little soft howling noise when you ask her what sound a wolf makes. It's my favorite thing ever.

Some Extras from the Fall
Ok, that was a massive amount of posting. But I'm up-to-date. Woot! I will go back in a few days (ha) and put the actual dates on the photos so that when I eventually download this into a book for Sophie (ha) the dates will make some sense.
They had a parent's breakfast at G's classroom. They made us applesauce and took a vote as to whether they would serve muffins or bagels. Muffins won, but G voted for bagels. She told me, "sometimes you lose."
Sophie was in love with the baby-washing station.
G and I made a quick trip to the drugstore the other day and there was a huge firetruck parked outside. The nice fireman told G she could sit in his seat.
We had a family trip out to a new restaurant that *thinks* it's kid-friendly. There was so much butter on that spaghetti, she was starting to look delicious by the end of the meal.
Sophie has been enjoying prime seating during the children's sermon at church lately. This sounds like a good idea, but once she finds me in the crowd, Special-Mommy-Daddy-Church-Time is usually over.
Ah, she's got me.
Halloween 2012
We were so happy that the streets were cleaned up enough to still go trick-or-treating. The girls obliged me and put on layers under their costumes.
Sophie had a great time with a surprise Halloween card from Grandma that had stickers! She's suddenly totally into stickers.
Snow and Belle and a giant spider that we honestly think daddy is a little scared of.
Ready to roll!
After the Storm Pt 2
Oct 30, 2012
Hurricane Sandy came in like a lion and went out with an awesome visit from Flo's family. After a night of sleeping in the living room together (Sophie did not like it one single bit, when the power finally went out we realized that she wanted to be in a crib, so daddy went by feel to the attic and found the pack and play), we were a little stir crazy on day two of no school.
Luckily Flo and Rupert's parents were feeling more adventurous than we were, and brought the kiddos over for some crazy fun time.Jack-O-Lanterned
Oct. 20, 2012
We had a good time with this. Maybe it's the new front porch, but it just seemed a lot easier to do at the new house.
Sophie did a lot of observing.
G helped scoop the goop, which we really did roast in the oven later - see, I can be traditional.
Daddy, it turns out, is an expert carver.
OH MY SHE IS SO ADORABLE.
SHE'S NOT BAD, EITHER!
The little one. Georgia decided that the little one, Sophie's, would be "sad."
The big one, daddy's, was to be scary.
The medium one, Georgia's, was to be happy. Hmmm. Before you ask, we saved two that we weren't going to carve and they were "mommy's."
Bikes! At the park!
Pumpkin Patch Videos
Early that morning, before things really got started, the girls did their thing with all the dress up costumes.
Wait for it...wait for it!
To the Pumpkin Patch!
Oct. 13, 2012
We were so excited to pull this trip off! And before Halloween no less!
Sophie was even wearing appropriate clothing! G was wearing a dress, natch.Bright and early.
In line for the first hayride of the day.
Let me say again, I was really happy to pull this off.
I'm just posting all the pictures we took.
Soph wasn't scared of the hayride at all.
Last year, in this very pumpkin patch here, I had to nurse Sophie under a blanket. Yep. Have I mentioned how glad I am that portion of motherhood is over?
G picked out her own.
Sophie's eyes are bigger than her upper body strength.
Daddy was awesome, carried FIVE pumpkins for us!
They also have a great petting zoo.
And this duck swim race thing.
And tractors.
Oh and while Georgia was waiting in line to have her face painted, Sophie pointed to the pony ride and then DID NOT FREAK OUT ONE LITTLE BIT.
She is kind of amazing.
Sophie's first facepainting.
Snoring. Loudly.
The heart has been smeared away from her cheek. Oh how I love her so.
