Sophie's Speaking!
Ok, maybe not full sentences yet. But today, she is 20 months old and we thought it was a good time to list her words. She is also really keeping up with the sign language. We have her teachers to thank for that since neither of us really know what she's trying to tell us. Here are some of her favorite words.:
Mama (obviously)
Dada
Dor-duh
Ceeee (Cece)
No
YUM! (Always pronounced with the exclamation point)
Mo-ah (more)
Byeee (bye-bye - this has evolved from bay-bay to bobby to byeee. I kind of liked bay-bay)
Mines (aka MINE)
Baaaa (the sound a sheep makes)
Cruckcruckrcruck (the sound a duck makes)
WOW (this is my absolute favorite, it is how she says Moo when pointing at a cow)

Sophie's Last Day as a Butterfly
She's off to the Ladybug room in another week (after a horrible annual tradition at this "new" baby camp, where they close the center for a week to do training and all the parents are left to say, "but I didn't want to take a vacation this week?!"). Here is Ms. Toccara's final report:
"It has been a pleasure working with Sophie. We have been the best of friends since day one of her being in my care. Sophie has come a long way."

Watermelon!
Sophie and Nate the Great
We are so happy Sophie and Nate have each other. Being the littles to Abby and Georgia's bigs is tough sometimes.

Luckily they have their own special bond.Where Sophie follows him, and he kind of ignores her.
Georgia and Abby (for some reason not pictured?) did this puzzle.
Later, Nate showed Sophie that all of her attention was not falling on deaf ears.
"But wait, where are you going?"
Oh, maybe another girl has his heart?
Sibling rivalry already?
After the Storm
Grandpa and Sophie!
The New Mouse House
G couldn't be happier with the new space.
Sophie still doesn't quite know what she's supposed to be doing. Something about cheese?

Odds and ends at the old house
It's so rare to get G to smile and actually look toward the camera at the same time. Too bad I don't know how to fix Sophie's squint using photoshop or something.
But here's a cute one of my baby and her baby!

PS3 Graduation Day!
Ok, so that was nearly two months ago, but in my defense, we moved our entire house the very next day after this, so um, really, keep your complaints to yourself. I just downloaded 239 pictures since early June, I plan to get to all the blog-worthy ones asap. Here are the girls before Georgia's big performance at the school assembly.

A diva, for sure.Mommy got here eeeearly!
She's yawning. It wouldn't be the first time that morning, unfortunately. She's sitting between Mea and Samuel. Chloe's the one smiling right at me!
Georgia was chosen to sing a song in Spanish on the stage, here she is heading to her place. Sadly, the videos of her actually singing were apparently so long that the camera couldn't hold them, and they transferred to the computer as 1 second blips instead of real videos. Technology fail.
Here she is, getting a kiss from Ms. Vasquez, the Spanish teacher, once it was all over.
Notice how G and Chloe repositioned themselves next to one another after the big show? Oh and can you see Dion's totally cute green sweater on the right?
Afterparty!
Miss Jones, what an amazing year! We miss you already. We were so lucky to have you as G's first school teacher!
