At Nana and Papa's

Nana had an ingenious toy for the girls when we visited earlier this month. They were able to use little hammers and nail golf tees into a piece of styrofoam.
This, seriously, kept them both engaged for hours.
There were some stipulations (Georgia's) regarding who had use of the red hammer.
Sophie was just happy to be involved.
Once again, this all took place at the foot of the stairs. That must be THE place to be at Nana and Papa's house?!

More of that Yard Picnic

Um, can you say GORGEOUS KIDDO???
She really likes smiling for the camera (for now).

Working on that standing pose.
Waiting for daddy and G to come home.

On the Move

After a few too short days with Grandma and Grandpa, we were off to meet up with Nana and Papa. They were going to babysit the girlies while Mommy and Daddy took THREE GLORIOUS NIGHTS OFF in Chicago. They are very good people.
Georgia was intrigued by the suitcase.
Sophie reserved her judgment.
G said goodbye to Grandpa.
Both said goodbye to all the cool toys and their house.

In the car...

Georgia: I'm going to find a boy to marry when I grow up.

Mommy: Ok.

Georgia: But he needs to not be married yet. I will need to ask him if he's already married.

Mommy: That's a good idea.

Georgia: Yes. I will not marry a boy who has a wife. If he's all alone then I get to marry him and be with him.

Report Card

From Ms. Jones:

"Georgia has shown significant growth since the Fall. Her behavior has improved tremendously. She interacts positively with her peers but will remove herself from a situation when she notices that the outcome will not be a good one. Georgia is eager to learn and an active participant. She expresses her thoughts and concerns clearly. She is very helpful and enjoys having responsibility. She is able independently write her first name. We have been working on writing her last name...Georgia is making significant strides. She is constantly showing progression and growth."

Georgia is also shown to have a specific strength in "literacy," including phonological awareness and emergent writing skills.

Yay!!!

Easter Egg Hunt

We were so lucky to be visiting Grandma and Grandpa on the day when their church was hosting a giant egg hunt for all the kids! It was rainy, so the bunny had to put everything inside. Georgia is wearing a pink bow below, waiting for her cue.
And she's off!

Sophie also had some help in the hunt.

Proud of herself!
Grandpa was helpful, too.

Pre-Walker

This was taken just before spring break. I think we're a lot closer to walking now - she seems to just pop up whenever she has a place to hold onto, no more pulling up. She just needs a little more confidence?

Hairdo

G asked me to take her picture with her new headband on and then "send it out."

Soph Likes to Make the Mischief

This is the look she gives us right before heading for the stairs. Every time she can, she heads for the stairs. She cries when we lock the baby gate. Stairs are the new favorite pastime.

Yard Picnic

Daddy and G were bringing sandwiches after dance class. Sophie and I made the most of the sunshine while we waited.

70s Suit

That's Sophie in mommy's old duds. That's a frog on her knee, in case you can't tell.

Crackerface

Being silly on the couch.
