Hot Day, Mommy Gets Creative

This is also from a few weeks ago, but I'm slowly moving through the backlog. It was one of those crazy hot days and we were staying inside for the most part. I did want us to have some outdoor time, so I brought out the new horseshoe game I got for Georgia as a surprise.

She liked pulling the stakes in and out of the dirt most of all.

The whole thing lasted about 7 minutes.

This is what we're calling her teenager face. She's practicing. In 10 years I predict she'll be a master at it.

Sophie, on the other hand, was delighted to be outside and bouncing herself.

Later we came inside and played our new favorite game of giving Sophie toys and then taking them away.

Georgia got a tattoo from Nina at Lucy's house the day before (I will have to dig up those photos...) and here it is, still holding on. She wouldn't let us wash it off for three days. Classy.

This was in June, but here's a message from present-day Georgialand. Daddy texted me after dropping them off at school this morning:
"While we were driving G said, 'When I grow up I'm going to have my life and I'm gonna have a daughter and I'll have my daddy and I'll be the mommy and I'm gonna get married.' She also saw me counting in my head and ticking off tasks with my fingers and said, 'Are we lost?'"
