Home again
In the car...
Georgia: for breakfast I might eat Sophie-Dophie!
Mommy: oh, me too! I think she might be made out of chocolate.
Georgia: no mommy, she's made of God! You cannot eat Sophie! She's my sister, she's not for eating!
Mommy: ok so what should we eat instead?
Georgia: umm chicken. And rice. And beans. And carrots. And salad dressing. And tomatoes.

Georgia takes daddy to task over Triscuits
Georgia: Daddy, you're not supposed to eat Triscuits out of the box. You're supposed to take them out of the box, put them on your plate and THEN eat them.
Daddy: You're right, Georgia, Daddy's not using not good manners.
Georgia: Yes, that means . . . That means God . . . That means God is not happy. You're eating Triscuits out of the box, and you're saying I am Sophie, and you're saying Mommy is Cece. My name is Georgia. Mommy's name is Mommy. Sophie's name is Sophie. Cece's name is Cece. I will make you a list so you can remember.
Daddy: You're right, Georgia. I should call you by your right name. I am so sorry. I will try harder.
Georgia: Yes.
[20 minutes later, Daddy notices Sophie playing with some old photo albums . . .]
Daddy: Oh, Geor--I mean Sophie, be careful with those!
Georgia: SEE?!?

Big Day
But my favorite story of the day might not be the most appropriate. At nap time I was very tired, but G was not. She went to her room for quiet time and I actually fell asleep. We have been leaving her door open during naps and at night so she can take herself to the potty - a big girl privilege that has resulted in a few mishaps such as flushing the entire roll of toilet paper at once and decorating the counter with toothpaste. About 45 minutes into quiet time, she crept out of her room, came into mine and touched my hand. Then she said, in a stage whisper, "Don't worry Mommy, I cleaned all the poop off of the sink. You can go back to sleep."
There may be more disturbing things someone can say when waking you from a dream, but this definitely ranks up there. It also makes me laugh hysterically every time I think about it.
