First words, best friends

First things first, Sophie is 13 months old. She can crawl like a cheetah but hasn't really been pulling up too much. Miss Toccara seems to want us to be helping her to stand up more at home, but I'm not pushing it. She's just perfect, to me.
Sophie has definitely been trying to communicate with us. We're going to call it and say her first word is "MAMA" because that's what she wails whenever she sneaks up behind me and starts pulling on my socks.
We're pretty sure that she's also saying "Georgia" because when she looks at her very-best-pal-in-the-whole-wide-world she says, "Dehr-duh," which just sounds too close not to be the real thing.
Remember when I was complaining about 5:38am? Well Sophie decided to give me something real to complain about, so she's been showing us 3:45am and 4:26am for the last week. It's been horrific. I have no idea what is going on, but she is fuss fuss fuss and just wants to be held held held (can you tell we've been reading a lot of "Eloise" over here lately?).
Sophie also wants to eat whatever Georgia is eating, as long as it's not beans. This is very depressing for me, since we are having a hard time getting her to eat much protein that isn't yogurt-based.
Sophie loves to pick up toys and press them to her ear and say, "BLAHGERRABBLEBABBLE." Just like mommy!
She has 5.5 teeth to date.
Tomorrow we meet with the ENT again and I am GOING TO GET HIM TO PUT HER ON THE SURGERY SCHEDULE FOR EAR TUBES. He will do this, or I will put them in her ears myself. She's had at least 6 ear infections since August - perhaps all the same giant ear infection, but six rounds of antibiotics regardless and we are not having this.
She's smiley and fun and just so cuddly. I absolutely love this time with her, except when it's so hard and exhausting that I want to cry. That about sums it up!
