Home from the Hospital

Sophie arrived at 8:28am on Wednesday, Dec. 22. We took advantage of the extra time in the hospital due to my c-section (especially after G's initial visit, in which she pretty much ignored all requests that she "be gentle with mommy's tummy"). But by Dec. 26, we were excited to head home with our little stocking stuffer.

Here she is during her last nap in the hospital bed. A kissing zebra from Alison and Liora was her very first toy.



We dressed her in a santa suit for the ride home.

Daddy was happy we were on our way to being a real family of four.

Mommy was happy to get back to her own bed (but definitely missed the adjustable hospital bed over the next few days.

So we put her in a bonnet that we thought was the same one G came home in, a family heirloom. After getting home and checking the blog (thank God for the blog) we realized we were wrong. We don't actually know where this bonnet came from, but now it's a new family heirloom for Sophie!
