School birthday

At long last, the day finally came for Georgia to celebrate her 5th birthday at school (they hold all birthday celebrations to the last Friday of the month...even though she was the only February birthday...). She asked for blue cupcakes with sprinkles. Done.

She also requested strawberries and juice boxes.

When they sang happy birthday, she looked down with this half smile thing, and watched me out of the corner of her eye. Sigh. She's adorable.

Her friends were happy with the treats. Hezekiah said, "I LOVE STRAWBERRIES! Thank you very much!" He's adorable.

We now, officially have a 5-year-old. It's done. All parties are celebrated. Onto focusing all of our attention on Easter!

So-So-Sick (TMI alert)

Sophie is sick. We're afraid it might be the norovirus. This morning, literally as I heard daddy close the front door on his way to a very early dental appointment, Sophie started throwing up in our bed. She gets extra points for making sure it wasn't just on the sheet, or just on the duvet, but both, plus the mattress pad. I scooped her up and took her into the bathroom, where she threw up all over my hair, down my back and onto the wall, while making sure to spray our toothbrushes. If her goal is to take us all down, she sure is efficient. Poor kiddo.

The best trick for getting a tired 5-year-old out of bed in the morning? Presents! Thanks grandma and grandpa!!!

Making due

Poor Georgia and Sophie. They only have two tents and a tunnel to play with. Good thing they can get creative and make their own mouse house in the living room. This has been happening for about 20 minutes so far.
