Sophie and the Monkey, again

Here's a photo of Sophie with her monkey on January 22 - at exactly one month of age.

Here she is on March 7 - about six weeks after the photo above. In other words, she spent her winter weeks eating!

More of her growth spurt.

And a clothed version.

Fundraising with Violet & Calvin

Violet and her family hosted a hot-chocolate-and-cookie fundraiser for Rett Syndrome last weekend. Georgia was so excited to see Violet - she talked about her the whole day before we got there.

She also brought a strange assortment of toys - a plastic chicken leg (that she rarely removed from her mouth the whole time we were there...), the felt fireplace from the feltboard she got for her birthday, and one of mommy's beaded bracelets. Eventually, we just stopped asking why.

Violet's mom got G to smile at her camera - she's on strike with her own mom's camera, so I'm glad someone else got through.

Calvin and his friend Simran were so friendly and easily sold the great cookies and brownies.

3 Year Appointment

So it was actually three years and one month...and several days...but we made it there all the same. Georgia was a champ and Sophie watched from the sidelines.
Georgia weighs 33.2 lbs and is 37.5 inches tall. She has good blood pressure and enjoyed the paper gown very much.

Lucy and Georgia

The little ladies had lunch together today...then popsicles.

Blurry photos because I was holding Sophie and trying to use my camera phone with one hand and...

There was no fighting this time - a nice change as the girls have aged!

Quick Update and Overheard

Sophie had a stellar Day 2 at babycamp! She took the bottle, enjoyed the other babies, and generally made us all look very good. Way to go, Soph!

RECENTLY OVERHEARD

GEORGIA: I'm the Mommy! Eat this eat this eat this!

No, stop that! Quiet quiet, you sleeping. You not supposed to do THAT. You sleeping!

(throws hands in the air)

I NEED COFFEE!

More from Sophie's First Day

From Victoria's report:

Sophie was happy, active, social, independent and busy.

"Sophia took her first nap, when she awoke she sat in the bouncer seat looking all around. She wasn't fussy when I decided to feed her because it was almost four hours after the last time she ate. I offered her the bottle, she moved the nipple around for about a minute, then she started to suck on it. I think I was more excited that she was taking the bottle than Sophia :)"
