Hair Video

This is from a long time ago, but blogger has been touchy about uploading videos. I'm losing patience with it, quite honestly. Here we are after the first bath, when we marveled at Sophie's amazing hair.

Orange Arms

One of Grandma's favorite stories is about KK painting her arms orange one morning at preschool. She was so careful and deliberate with the tempra that the teachers just let her do it. This morning Georgia had the same idea!

More Photos of Two Cute Kids

Georgia has started bringing Sophie her toys, maybe in the hopes that she will show some kind of interest.

This is similar to a photo from the hospital when we had Georgia.

Supercute

Life at our house is kind of crazy right now, but one thing is sure, Sophie's darned cute. And that seems to make up for (or at least balance) the lack of sleep, constant whining (Georgia, me), and complete uncertainty about the future.

G's also pretty cute. That is, after you've bribed her to do something completely mundane that she used to do with no questions asked (nap, sit, put on her coat).

Here we've made an island out of Sophie's playmat.

The kid sleeps a lot.  And also eats a lot. That's about it right now.

We do get the odd smile here and there.

Open-eyed times are precious and limited.

First Real Bath!

Sophie really took it all in stride.

G was on hand to help with the bath, too.

We have a great video, but I can't make it upload for some reason. I'm not a big fan of the new blogger, just for the record.

Later, Georgia was reading some of daddy's paperwork - the look on her face reminded me of this.

Goodbye Grandma

She's been gone since last Thursday, but we're still mourning it (and not doing laundry).

Sophie seems to be dealing with the separation by nursing every hour on the hour...so that's been fun the last three days. We hear Baby Beck is going through the same phase - that's comforting, but doesn't really solve anything for either of the mommies, unfortunately.

Sophia - Cordless Edition!

We are hitting our milestones - her umbilical cord came off today, just over two weeks old. Immersion baths, here we come!

She's also in a major growth spurt right now, which means this moment of sleep was the only one in about four hours of nearly constant feeding. The kid has big plans to move up to size 1 diapers!
