Sophie and the dog-dogs
When I asked, rhetorically, what Sophie's three Snoopys' names were this morning, Georgia replies, as if she'd been waiting for this question, "Moose, Gaston and Lulu."

Quote of the month
"All done me. All done...me. ALL DONE ME!!!"
-Sophie, age 1.999
(This is what Sophie says when she is done with whatever thing she happens to be doing - eating, playing, listening to mom.)

Overheard...
While sitting in her new toboggan-style sled and using a broom handle as an oar...
Georgia: Row, row, row your boat, gently down the stream! Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily, like a butter dream.

At Dinnertime
(Georgia overhears mommy and daddy talking.)
Georgia: Who are you talking about?
Daddy: Mommy and Daddy were talking about a boy named **** in another class at your school, and he has the same last name as you? ***** *****?
Georgia: I know who she is.
Daddy: Oh, she’s a girl?
Georgia: Yes. She’s very little, and she eats sand.
Daddy: She eats sand?
Georgia: Yes, and she won’t stop.
Daddy: How do you know this?
Georgia: She was on the playground and her daddy was picking her up and the teacher saw her eating sand in the sandbox and they told her daddy and he said she does it at the beach, too, and I can’t get her to stop.
(Mommy and Daddy aren’t sure exactly what to say next.)
Daddy: Well, you said she’s younger than you?
Georgia: Yes, she’s little.
Daddy: Well, she probably doesn’t know better.
Georgia: Yes.
Daddy: And you know not to eat sand.
Georgia: Yes.

From the staircase
Georgia, about 20 minutes after bedtime:
"Daddy, this is great news. I can see the neighbors and can see the room next to mine. And I can see whose room it is. It's the sister's. It's great. Good night daddy!"
