We were so excited to pull this trip off! And before Halloween no less!

Sophie was even wearing appropriate clothing! G was wearing a dress, natch.

Bright and early.

In line for the first hayride of the day.

Let me say again, I was really happy to pull this off.

I'm just posting all the pictures we took.

Soph wasn't scared of the hayride at all.

Last year, in this very pumpkin patch here, I had to nurse Sophie under a blanket. Yep. Have I mentioned how glad I am that portion of motherhood is over?

G picked out her own.

Sophie's eyes are bigger than her upper body strength.

Daddy was awesome, carried FIVE pumpkins for us!

They also have a great petting zoo.

And this duck swim race thing.

And tractors.

Oh and while Georgia was waiting in line to have her face painted, Sophie pointed to the pony ride and then DID NOT FREAK OUT ONE LITTLE BIT.

She is kind of amazing.

The heart has been smeared away from her cheek. Oh how I love her so.

So we've had some interesting developments in Princessland. It appears that Sophie has been getting a little too much attention regarding her obvious resemblance to Snow White. Mommy made the rookie mistake of responding to Georgia's inquiry about Halloween by saying something along the lines of, "We think Sophie should be Snow White, don't you agree?" Um, no, she didn't agree. At least on Oct 4, when she decided that they both would wear Snow White costumes.

HII 2012: Goodbyes

We had a really excellent week. The weather was fantastic - beach or pool every day. Georgia and Sophie slept reasonably well in the same room - after the obligatory first night miserable experience. Georgia and daddy enjoyed finding buried treasure all around the beach and Sophie showed a bit of her mommy's affection for being in the water. They also dealt well with the required sunscreen applications. We even had a date night - thanks grandma and grandpa!
