Dramatic Play - Georgia Style

We are currently suffering from the expectation that we will ALWAYS drop whatever we're doing and play one-on-one with Georgia and ALWAYS create new games and tell BRAND-NEW stories from scratch at the drop of a hat. Here's a recent narrative that gets played out again and again in our house.

Family Dance Party

Yeah, we're still doing this. G told me recently that she was talking to friend at school about family dance parties. She was surprised that the friend didn't know what it was. "So I told her, it's when you get your scarves and you dance around with your family."

This was on Aug 11, 2012. Sophie and Evan had a great time getting to know each other. He had many questions about why she did the things she did. I had few answers and my explanation that she "doesn't speak English" didn't seem to make enough sense. Maybe by Christmas?
