Boo Brunch Videos 2011

G explains her costume.

Donut-eating contest. Henry's mom is a genius.

Candy corn races.

Boo Brunch 2011

Georgia was a princess again this year, naturally. Here she is with Spiderman Henry in the background and new pal Natalie Jane. This is just before they realized that slamming the fridge door would make all the magnets fall off at the same time.

LilyS was an adorable lion this time. I'm still not sure how her parents avoided the princess train - so jealous.

Baby Penny was a zebra!

Sophie the Lobster and Kerley get acquainted.

One of the few photos I could get with her wearing the crown...

Daddy was a king. This was a welcome change of heart on G's part, who initially said Daddy had to be a sheriff and mommy had to be a witch - kind of a commentary on how she's feeling about her parents these days?

Sophie was a lobster...because that's what you eat when you're royalty, right? Or perhaps because Elia's mommy is awesome and let us borrow the costume.

The whole royal family.

Sunday Supper

We have some lovely, lovely friends who invited us for Sunday supper a few weeks ago. Georgia and Elia were reunited after too many months of not seeing each other. Notice Elia's awesome accessorization? She and Georgia have a lot in common...

...including a little wildness, particularly when their parents are trying to get a photo of them together.

Sophie and Ami also got reacquainted.

The wild girls made much mischief on the upper level of the house. I blame the daddies entirely. The mommies were engaged with the tiny children. The daddies were meant to be supervising the slightly-less-tiny children and instead left them to their own devices. Long story short, a cutting board was destroyed with markers and cologne was dribbled over little hands and then smeared into a bedspread. The homeowners were nothing but gracious about the whole debacle. But I still blame the daddies.

At the pumpkin patch

Pumpkin Patch videos

Pumpkin Patching

We met up with Maeve and Natalie at the pumpkin patch. The plan was to buy apples, return home and make a pie in time for Sunday supper at some friends' house the next day. Then we realized that the pumpkin patch sells ready-made pies that you can then bake at home, making it appear that you made the whole pie yourself. So that's what we did. Shhh, it's a secret. Georgia absolutely loved the fall festival.

Sophie was a good sport in the orange stroller.

Again with the balloon animals.

And more face-painting.

That's a "scary pink spider."

Georgia got brave and went into the castle all by herself!

Wherefore art thou, Georgia?

G and Maeve - fast friends because Maeve is wearing a crown. G knows she's good people.

A bounce house because that makes so much sense in a pumpkin patch.

Hay ride!

"I want this one!"

"There are too many to choose from. Let's get them all."

A pumpkin coach ride.

Maeve and G were totally brave, parents were not allowed to ride with them.

My absolute favorite photo of the day.
