To Grandma and Grandpa's!

Our visits back home are a carefully choreographed affair. Daddy made sure we spent almost exactly 4 days and 17 hours with each side of the family. Funny, the grandparents all seemed totally calm about the time splitting, it was Daddy who made a big deal out of it? Georgia was happy to relocate and get to see some new toys at Grandma and Grandpa's house.

Sophie enjoyed having her very own sink baths.

Really, she loved it.

Family Portraits

I know it's a cliche, but a photo with both of them looking at the camera is like herding cats.

Nana always looks at the camera and smiles beautifully. We love that about her.
Sometimes Georgia gives us the crazy eyes.
Then of course Sophie has to get all curious about what everyone else is doing.
New definition of success: four pairs of eyes all looking forward at the same time.

At Nana and Papa's

We had a great time at Nana and Papa's earlier this month. The girls very quickly adjusted to being in the new space. Georgia loved the giant playroom, while Sophie particularly enjoyed the constant attention.

Yep, they're wearing matching dresses. Come on, you knew this was coming.
Daddy described G's affection for Sophie as "almost violent." She is very intense with the hugging.

There were never such devoted sisters...

Earthquake pt 3!

A little more perspective of the evac area. Rolling cribs - oh so smart.

Earthquake pt 2!

G had a great time being outside in the evac area. Sophie sleeping in a crib outside was a source of great amusement, too.

Earthquake!

Yes, there was an earthquake today. Baby camp was evacuated, so daddy and I had a race to get to pick the girls up. I won. This is what I found when I arrived. Despite being evacuated along with a hundred other kids, Sophie sleeps amid the chaos.

What Was Sophie Doing?

You may have been wondering what Sophie was doing while all those cousins were catching up and being cousinly. Well, she was smiling, a lot. That's just what she does. Particularly when Papa is holding her.
This is more smoldering than smiling, but she's so cute...

Some snuggle time with Daddy, too.
She just told the funniest joke. You had to be there.
