Testing our mobility

This is being sent to blogger from my phone...just testing our mobile capabilities. Oh, and showing you how cute Sophie is, even though she's been awake since about 3am.

Last Dance

Here are photos from today's final dance class!

Mommy had to stay home with Sophie, who (surprise) does about as well in the heat as mommy does.

G and Daddy had a great time at the final performance.

It's another scorching day today, so let's pretend the fuzzy pictures are due to the heat and not because daddy's camera phone is supa cheap.

The headband was her own idea! How very flashdance of her!

Oh and I meant it when I said "today's dance class." These actually took place today! July 23! For real! We're finally current!

We are signed up for two more dance sessions starting next January, so we will have to wait until then to see G in a real leotard.

I think she's really going to miss Miss Liz.

Sophie at 6-7 Months

Some of my favorites in the last few weeks. This is meant to distract me from the fact that after two nights of sleeping almost all the way through, Sophie woke me at 3:30am today and refused to sleep again until 6am...she's just being difficult. And inconsistent. And horrible.
At her 6 month appointment...a great chunk of babyness.
This was at Finn's birthday party. It was crazy hot, so Sophie and I hid inside while G and daddy played out by the kiddie pools.

She's starting to do that thing where she mimics the sounds you make...oh how I love that thing!

Daddy and Georgia Have a Date Day

A few weeks ago (back when we thought it couldn't get any hotter...we were wrong), daddy took Georgia to a theme park for his office's summer picnic day.

He did a great job of documenting things with his phone camera.

There was an awards ceremony at the beginning. G was very polite.

Then they got to ride the train!

I'm told she ate a whole hotdog and a ton of baked beans.

They loved the carousel.

But here's the best part - her very favorite "activity."

Swing Out, Sisters

First time on swings together...from my phone...can't figure out when this was...or if I've already posted it...too cute not to post.

The Sophie Seat

Sophie is in that glorious space between sitting up and crawling. If she's positioned with just a few pillows, toys, and within view of Cece, and she's happy for, well, minutes. She's happy for several minutes. It's very nice.

Today she is 7 months old! She's going to have her very first lunch date with daddy today, while I take Georgia to see the dreamy Dr. Williams for a checkup on her ears.
I'm packing the following things for Sophie's date with daddy: oatmeal, bib, spoons, washcloths, table tarp, sippy cup, diaperbag. I suppose it was about time she brought more luggage than Georgia.
Last night we tried turkey with squash puree for dinner. She slept until 6:15am!!!!!!! We have a winner!

Sisters, Sisters

Georgia really wants Sophie to be with her all the time. Um, yes, G is wearing a slip from her dress up box.

One of them wanted her picture taken, the other did not. Can you guess?
Here, we couldn't convince Georgia to put on a shirt after a very messy dinner situation.
Sophie didn't know why we were all laughing, but she likes to get in on the fun anyway.
