There are millions of more pictures to post, but I want to make it known that as of this week, Sophia has found her feet! She cannot get enough of them - they must taste delicious. Some other things she likes:
-Spoons. Give her one at a restaurant and let the good times roll.
-Ice cubes - in the mesh bag holders, she lovesthem.
-Eye contact. Seriously. She will literally open up in front of your very eyes if you give her your gaze for just a few seconds.
-The adjustment cord on her carseat. She loves to chew on that thing and I should probably put a stop to it, knowing what it has seen in its time with our family, but it just makes her so darned happy.
-Her sister. In just about any form, Sophie loves loves loves Georgia. Particularly when Georgia is singing about being a "monkey in the tree." But even tonight before dinner, when G was throwing a colossal fit and screaming/coughing with rage from the timeout stool, Sophie watched her and smiled as if she was witnessing a beautiful music performance (a la "monkey in a tree").

Bye Bye to Grandma and Grandpa
Bocce Ball on the church lawn
When we were waiting for the cars to come by after dinner, the kids overtook this guy's bocce ball game.

Lucky for all of us, he was a good sport.

Lucky for Joe, Georgia's not a great shot. She nearly beaned him a few times.

The concept of "hold your fire" is hard to convey to a 3-year-old.

Henry may have a future in bocce balling.

Kate/Joe's mom tries to help them not cross the umbrella line when it's their turn.

Sophie's Baptism
We rushed home from the wedding in time for Sophia's afternoon baptism! It was a very busy day, but we wanted to take advantage of the fact that Godfather Brian and his family would be in town for a graduation weekend. Henry's mom is the Godmother - Sophie's got some great people in her corner! Kate and Henry admire the little lady of the hour.
Sophie was the star of this show, but the other kids had a good time, too.

After the ceremony (I don't have any photos?!) we had dinner out with everyone.

Grandma provided the lovely little baptism suit - personally imported from Hawaii!

Georgia Meets Her Princess
So they actually first met in the receiving line earlier in the day, but I wasn't documenting that with the camera. Georgia was completely in love from that point on - talking our ears off about Princess Mallory throughout the afternoon. Then Princess Mallory invited her to dance! Bliss! But G took it all very seriously.

We have spent countless hours talking about Princess Mallory and Prince Will ever since this weekend. Georgia has been making piles of her toys in the living room and telling us, "Those are for Princess Mallory. She's getting married!" So naturally she needs a plastic teacup, an Easter egg and a silk flower as tribute. Georgia also took their "save the date" magnet to school for this week's show-and-tell, which had the theme of the letter "W." She thought it was appropriate for "wedding" and for "Prince Will."
You can just see how much she's concentrating!

Dance Dance Dance
Georgia contemplates the dance floor.

She gazes at the real-live princess Mallory.

She was just as charming with Grandma.

"Um, what is that I see?"

"Why, exactly, is there another little person in a WHITE PRINCESS DRESS? I completely hate her, yet am inexplicably drawn to her."

Georgia and Great Aunt Carol get down.
She walked up to Grandpa and said, "Dance with me, my grandpa!" How could you ever say no?She was just as charming with Grandma.
