(Sophie and Daddy are driving home together.  A song is on where the word "pick" is spoken.)

 

S: What's "pick"? 

 

D: You pick when you choose something.  Like you can pick to go this way or that way, or you could pick vanilla or chocolate ice cream--

 

S: I want to pick chocolate ice cream! 

 

D: Sure -- well, I mean, we aren't picking anything right now, that's just what you do when you pick.  It's not just ice cream, you can pick between all kinds of things.  You can pick ice cream, or toys, or songs, or games --

 

S: Well, I don't want to pick the clean up game.

Today Sophie got to go to the Nats game with daddy, and Georgia got to go to the theater with mommy. How come he and I are the only ones exhausted at the end?

Some great new outfits from grandma. We were warned that "the box only has clothes, so it's going to be boring for them."nothing could have been further from the truth! Outfits put on immediately, despite the freezing temperatures outside. Nana also gave them Charlie Brown Valentine's DVDs, which were a great big hit over the weekend when we hosted many friends!

This one is kind of blurry, but it shows that Sophie almost has the grip just right! Georgia has been on us to try sushi for months. We were surprised that she ate more than just rice!

Snow daze

We got our Indiana wonderland this week! The girls were thrilled to sled and make snow angels at Nana and Papa's house!

Georgia's "iPhone"

This is G, talking to the Siri in her homemade "iPhone." You can see the ear bud hanging down. If she was five or six years older, this would be an incredibly manipulative hint about what she wants for Christmas. Right now, at 5 years old, this is just too cute for words.
